Who Arlovo Health sees

Clients
Adults, including older adults
Funding
Plan-managed NDIS, self-managed NDIS and private clients. Arlovo Health is not a registered NDIS provider, so NDIA-managed funding can't be used.
NDIS goals
For NDIS participants, physiotherapy needs to relate to their disability and the goals in their plan.
Visits
At home and out in the community, wherever the goals are
Practitioner
Care is delivered by an Ahpra-registered physiotherapist. Full practitioner details are provided before care begins.

Common reasons for referral

  • walking has become harder or less safe, indoors or in the community
  • balance has reduced, there have been falls, or the risk of falling has gone up
  • strength or stamina has dropped, including after illness, a hospital stay or a long period of inactivity
  • everyday movement has changed for someone living with a neurological disability
  • getting up from a chair, in and out of bed, or into the shower or car has become harder
  • the person wants to stay independent at home and keep getting out in the community

If you're not sure whether physiotherapy is the right fit, send the referral anyway or phone to talk it through. Every referral is looked at individually.

Service area

Arlovo Health provides mobile physiotherapy across Adelaide and surrounding areas. If your client is further away, you're still welcome to enquire as wider travel may be possible depending on the circumstances.

Appointment times are worked out with the client when the referral is followed up.

Physiotherapy time is charged at $160 an hour for the time actually delivered, and the same fees apply to NDIS participants and private clients. For private clients, any travel fee is quoted before booking. In every case, the expected travel cost for the client's address is confirmed in writing before the first visit.

How to refer

  1. Send the referral

Use the online form, phone, or email referrals@arlovohealth.com.au. Please make sure the client knows about the referral and is happy to be contacted.

  2. We get in touch

Arlovo Health contacts you and the client to talk through goals, funding, travel and timing, and confirms the expected costs.

  3. First visit

Once the client agrees and the service agreement is signed, the first visit is booked. Any further clinical information is collected securely at that point.

What referrers can expect

With the client's consent, you'll receive a short summary of the goals and plan after the first visit, and you'll hear early if anything changes.

Progress reports are written at agreed points or before an NDIS plan review. They are goal-based and in plain language, covering what was worked on, progress against each goal using the same measures as at the start, current function and risks, and recommendations for the next plan.

Where an occupational therapist is also involved, physiotherapy works from the same functional goals, for example practising transfers with new equipment or building the strength and balance to use a new set-up safely. Findings are shared with consent.
